Tour Itinerary

Day01

Arrival at Kathmandu and drive to Bhaktapur

Once you arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, our representative will welcome you and drive you directly to your hotel in Bhaktapur, one of the most culturally rich towns in Nepal.

After checking into your hotel and freshening up, enjoy a leisurely walk through Bhaktapur Durbar Square, where temples, traditional homes, and artisans line the ancient brick streets.

Overnight at Bhaktapur.

Day02

Drive to Chapagaun and full day sightseeing

Today, we will visit the peaceful village of Chapagaun, a traditional Newari village situated in the southern part of the valley. This scenic drive to Chapagaun will allow you to witness terraced farms, multiple tea shops, temples, and more village life. Chapagaun is home to the Bajrabarahi Temple, which is one of the oldest and most sacred tantric temples in the valley.

After spending some quality time at Chapagaun, we will then head towards Patan, one of the oldest and most stunning cities in the Kathmandu Valley.  In the afternoon, you may stroll around Patan Durbar Square’s winding streets and courtyards, which are lined with stone sculptures, temples fashioned out of wood, and small artisan stores where artisans still do hand carving, painting, and molding.

Overnight at Patan.

Day03

Sightseeing in Khokana

This morning, we’ll head to Khokana, a village that seems to have pressed pause on time. It’s quiet, earthy, and entirely Newar in spirit. You’ll walk through narrow alleys where people sit in the sun spinning thread, cracking peanuts, or preparing food outdoors.

Khokana is renowned for its traditional mustard oil production, which is still carried out using wooden machines passed down through generations. If available, we’ll stop by to see how it’s made—it’s a hands-on example of heritage in action.

At the heart of the village stands Rudrayani Temple, surrounded by small shops and homes. Locals gather here not just to pray, but to chat, debate, and laugh—temples in Newar society have always been as much about community as they are about devotion.

We’ll head back to Kathmandu in the afternoon, giving you time to rest or maybe stroll around the area.

Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day04

Sightseeing Kirtipur – 3-4 hours

Today, we drive to Kirtipur, a charming hill town that has fiercely maintained its identity through the centuries. Once an independent kingdom, Kirtipur is steeped in pride, resistance, and strong Newari roots. The vibe here is peaceful but full of stories.

We’ll explore places like the Bagh Bhairab Temple, known for its ancient swords, and enjoy sweeping views of the Kathmandu Valley from the Uma Maheshwar Temple.

One of the best parts about Kirtipur? The food! This area is known for delicious Newari dishes, and if you’re up for it, we’ll stop at a small eatery to try things like Yomari, Chatamari, or Samay Baji.

After a few hours of exploration, we’ll head back to Kathmandu for a relaxed evening.

Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day05

Visit Chitlang and drive back to Kathmandu

Today is a bit more off-the-beaten-path. We’ll take a scenic drive to Chitlang, a quiet village in the hills southwest of Kathmandu. The drive itself is worth it—curvy roads, pine-covered hills, and expansive views of the valley below.

Chitlang boasts a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. You’ll see old stone-paved trails, traditional homes with wooden balconies, and terraced fields as far as the eye can see. We’ll spend time walking around, talking with the villagers, and possibly visiting a goat or pear farm, depending on the season.

In the afternoon, we’ll drive back to Kathmandu.

Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day06

Stroll through Asan Bazaar and Basantapur

Today is the last day of this tour package, so we will visit one of the oldest and vibrant markets in Kathmandu, Asan Bazaar. The air is thick with incense, chatter, honking, and the scent of fresh spices. You’ll pass by vendors selling vegetables, utensils, religious items, and Newari snacks.

From there, we’ll walk toward Basantapur Durbar Square, which dates back to the 3rd century. This area features numerous temples in pagoda style, courtyards, and palaces, but the most intriguing is the Kumari Ghar, home to the Living Goddess, Kumari. Some of the other major attractions in this square include Jagannath Temple, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, and others. You don’t want to miss any of the camera moments that come with every step you take within the area.

You will find numerous shops around Asan Bazaar and Kathmandu Durbar Square where you can purchase handcrafted or locally made souvenirs.

Overnight at Kathmandu.
